We’re pretty excited about the new Gallery section of our website. We created this section to be able to share some nice pieces that we’ve run across or that are in our personal collections. We’re not offering the Gallery items for sale, but like anything else, if you see something you like, feel free to contact us and get a discussion going. If the offer is right, you never know. Just please don’t be offended if we say “thanks, but not today”. You can get to the Gallery from the link at the top of our home page. We have separate Gallery pages for gameworn, helmets, and movieworn. Let us know how you like it.

Changes to our email list

We’ve recently converted our email list to Constant Contact. Previously we handled our email newsletter manually, but decided to step up technology a little bit and employ a professional email service. One of the main reasons was to handle additions and subtractions automatically, but also to allow subscribers to select the kinds of emails they want to receive. We hope everyone will like the changes. If you haven’t yet subscribed, just go to our home page and look for the link.

… and of course, we are in Detroit. There is no shortage of Detroit jerseys. We’ve seen some really nice Wings shirts from all across the spectrum.

On the left is Jeremy Roenick’s Stanley Cup Finals jersey.
The photo does not do this shirt justice–it’s just beat. Repairs, marks, the whole package. On the right is an equally nice Al Secord. The Secord is his 50th-goal jersey. Both shirts courtesy of Peter Puck, as well as a rack of other nice Hawks shirts from his collection.

Collectors at the Expo

While the turnout so far has been lighter than past years, we’re seeing familiar faces and having a lot of good conversation. There have been a number of late arrivals, but jerseys are beginning to appear out of gear bags and suitcases.

How about a 1926-27 Ottawa Senators? This is a Stanley Cup Finals jersey worn by Frank Nighbor and is the earliest Finals jersey known. Very nice sweater!
